Hello, and welcome to the website for the Great Library Card Collection. My name is Cory Peterson, and I am the
proud owner of this collection. I am 15 years old, and I live in Suisun City, California. I am attending Buckingham Charter
High School, where I am a 9th grade student. My collection has over 3,000 library cards, and growing every day! So, I hope
you enjoy looking at my collection! Right now I am working on getting all the scans of the library cards up, so not all of
the library cards are displayed yet. Please bear in mind it will likely be months before ALL of the scans are up. I will do
my best! Keep checking back for updates!
My collection started in the summer of 1999, when I was 6 years old. I was visiting my grandparents, who live in Washington
State. I had always liked to go to libraries and ask to look at their library cards, just to see what the design looked like.
When I went to the Anacortes Public Library, in Anacortes, Washington, I asked to look at their library card, and they said
I could have it. This started me on a journey that would involve long hours on the computer, addressing envelopes (can you
believe the cost of stamps!) and believe it or not, traveling across the country. Since I started collecting library cards
8 years ago, I have accumulated over 3,000 library cards from all 50 states and 74 countries.
